The entire production of 1997 Batard-Montrachet (this parcel belongs to Pierre Colin, Pierre-Yves' uncle, and is sold under his name) is exported to Japan and the United States. Passion fruit, mangoes, and sweet butter aromas can be found in this immensely ripe, thick, heavy, and concentrated wine. It is full-bodied, opulent, hedonistic, and layered with oily apricots, tropical fruits, and honeysuckles. While it will not make old bones, it delivers loads of decadent pleasure.
