Wines from Miraval

Miraval

Château Miraval became famous worldwide after Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt bought the estate in 2008. The acclaimed winery is located in the small village of Correns in Provence. The vineyards consist of landscaped terraces at an altitude of 350 meters. The climate is Mediterranean, but because it cools sufficiently at night, the grapes retain their freshness. The soil consists of a combination of lime and clay. This composition ensures that the roots retain the right amount of water and that the vines are supplied with sufficient water.

Miraval's enormous wine cellar was built as early as 1850 by Joseph-Louis Lambot. The wine cellar is managed by winemaker Marc Perrin. Marc produces an extensive range of red, white and rosé wines. The rosé wines are by far the most popular. In 2020 it was revealed that a champagne would be launched in collaboration with Rodolphe Péters.

The Péters family has been operating in the Champagne region since 1919 and produces champagne of the highest quality. Péters and Perrin had a strong relationship for many years. Their shared passion for wine resulted in a unique collaboration. After five years of research, dedication and development, the Fleur de Miraval Rosé Champagne was finally created. The project managed to stay under the radar all this time, until this big news came out in 2020.

Fleur de Miraval Rosé Champagne is made from 75% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir. The addition of Pinot Noir turns the champagne pink, a nod to Provence. The champagne matures for three years in the bottle in the cellar. This long bottle aging ensures a well-integrated and fine bubble. The bottle is fully coated to protect the champagne from daylight.

Fleur de Miraval promises luxury, elegance and quality. The rosé champagne is very exclusive, seeing that only 20,000 bottles are produced.
