Chateau L'Eveche

Château L'Evéché, owned by François Janoueix, is a prestigious vineyard located on the historic pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, with 3 plots of land in the southern part of Pomerol. The land used to belong to the Seigneury of Lescours, which reconstructed its castle and private chapel in the Middle Ages.

Château L’Évêché is one of the most respected vineyards in Saint-Emilion. The soil of Château L’Évêché, composed of clay, sand, and gravel, is similar to that of the best Pomerol soils, such as Petrus, and of the north of Saint-Emilion, such as Cheval Blanc and Figeac. The vines are 50 years old or older

There are 2 hectares of vineyards with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit-Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Carmenère.
