Robert Parker (92)

A beautiful wine that should drink superbly for 15 years, this sensational 2007 was made from a tiny 26 hectoliters per hectare, and is a blend of 78% Merlot and 22% Cabernet Franc that achieved nearly 13.8% natural alcohol. The wonder duo of Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt hit paydirt with this beauty, which may turn out to be a better balanced wine than their 2009. This opulent, sexy wine exhibits a dense ruby/plum/purple color, a full-bodied mouthfeel, sweet tannins, and lots of forest floor, black currant, ripe cherry, and mountain flora characteristics. Filled with power, substance, and elegance, it should be consumed over the next 15 years.

Winespectator (88)

This has dark cherry aromas, with hints of wood and plum. Full-bodied and elegant, with soft, silky tannins and a long finish.
