Subtle notes of toasted almonds and hazelnuts accent peach and pineapple fruit in Cloudburst's 2017 Chardonnay, the largest and ripest of the three vintages reviewed here. It's pleasantly plump and generous in the mouth, adding hints of melon and caramel while remaining dry and crisp on the lingering finish.

This is the most focused and structured Chardonnay from here with layers of ripe fruit, yet so fresh and bright at the same time. Minerally and bright. Full-bodied, but always agile and energetic. The phenolics and creaminess provide deep density, weight and even a sensation of chewiness. Drink or hold.
